Press Set Up Technician
-
Select machine attachments, such as cams, dies, cut off compounds and straighteners according to set up book and installs them on the machine.

Verify material dimensions with a micrometer and feed the material through the roller straighteners and machine guides to the die.

Set cams and tool to control the clip dimensions.
-
Make a trial run and measures a sample product for conformance to specifications using gages, calipers and comparators.
-
Adjust the machine to attain specific dimensions.
-
3-5 years experience in setting up 100 ton press and/or 4-Slide machines
-
NCRC gold level credential preferred
-
Demonstrate proficiency with math skills

Machine Operator
-
Thread the end of stock through feed rollers, around the arbor and under the cutting tool.

Measure springs and clips for conformance to specifications using micrometers, calipers, preset gages, height gages and comparator.

Perform SPC and quality audits on parts, as well as last piece layouts.

Prior machine operation experience preferred
