Since 1946, Wolverine Coil Spring Co. (WCS) has grown as a recognized leader in the metal-formed products industry. Based in Grand Rapids, MI, Wolverine Coil Spring provides custom, precision engineered springs, clips, pins, rods, wire forms, stampings, and assemblies for the Automotive, Furniture, Appliance, Medical, Home Furnishings, Construction and Consumer industries.

Our founder, Raymond Carlberg, established our principles of constant innovative improvement and close customer relationships. Mr. Carlberg laid the foundation for WCS to grow from our humble beginnings producing Extinglo™ ashtrays, springs for cash registers, military parts, and other household products, to our currently diverse global portfolio of custom parts.
Current president, Jay Dunwell, proudly carries the Carlberg legacy with a pursuit of perfection in both product quality and customer service satisfaction. As a third-generation family member, Jay is dedicated to ensuring WCS's long-term prosperity and success. Jay also takes great pride in fostering a culture where employees feel valued and happy to be a part of the WCS family.

Over the past 75+ years, WCS's offerings have evolved to meet the needs of our customers. WCS currently produces a variety of compression, extension, and torsion springs, stampings, clips, various wire forms, rods, pins and assemblies.
WCS works with a wide range of raw materials based on our customers' needs. A few examples are cold-rolled (1008-1010), spring steel (1050-1095), electrically conductive (brass, beryllium copper), stainless steel (301-304) Aluminum, and pre-tempered (martensite, stainless steel, brass).
Other services include stress-relieving, grinding, shot peening, corrosion protective plating, industrial washing, and part cleaning to various industry specifications.
